Education: I attended the University of Miami, FL where I studied Mass Communications with a minor in Business and earned an Associates in Science.  I later transferred to the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.

Experience:  During my career I worked for Creative Arts Unlimited in Tampa, a commercial design firm whose clients included Disney and the Mayo Clinic. I then relocated and became the Lead Designer for Pizazz Interiors, residential design firm.  There I worked on model homes and Paseo's Town Center, which is a part of Stock Development's community.  In 2006 opened up Eco-Spaces a home and office decorating company specializing in sustainable design practices and eco-friendly living.

Involvement:  I am a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), USGBC (United States Green Building Council), FLGBC (Florida Green Building Coalition), Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce, and New Life Assembly of God.

Long-term goals: Because I grew up in the Lee County, FL area, it was important to me to return after college to try and make a visual impact on the growth in our area and on the people with whom I come in contact. I would love to build my company in to a one stop shop for Sustainable Living including decorating and design, real estate, property management, event planning, and educating the community on going green.  I hope to also someday design my own restaurant from the architectural elements right down to the food and specialty drinks served at the bar.

Hobbies, interests and activities: I attended the Olympic Trials in swimming, and still enjoy working out and swimming on occasion. The beach is my favorite place for downtime. I'm blessed to have great friends and family to spend time with.

Word of advice: Don't ever give up! Life changes, dreams change, goals change, it's the nature of dealing with all life has to offer. I was studying for a communications major with minors in business and English, and changed to interior design, which I love. The important thing to remember is not to give up on yourself. God blesses everyone with a plethora of talents; it's just a matter of tapping in to all of them and finding the one that will make you feel fulfilled.

Role model: My parents are my biggest role models. They came to Lehigh Acres from a small town in Chicago 40 years ago. Over the years they have not only made a name for themselves and become successful in their professions, but have given much back to the community. They did it through diligence and perseverance, and hard work. I most admire their positive attitudes, the way they give without expecting anything in return and the way they don't give up on project goals or on people. They are respected and loved by all who know them. That's all I could ever ask for myself.
